RO/DI Questions

I just hooked up my RO/DI unit. It's the 6 stage unit off of ----. My question is how much waste water should be coming out? This think is draining fast.

Wow, yeah, I was just doing a search. Not very resourceful eh?:notsure: Kind of surprised me.
Well right now the waste is a constant drain, does this stop when the 4 1/2 gallon tank fills up and pressurizes?

I also just hooked up a 6-stage r/o unit that I bought off e-bay. The waste water is about 4 to 1. I was to looking to see what is should be and I could not find anything. It took about 12hrs but I filled up my 35gal water barrel. I used alot of the waste water to do my laundry and water the lawn.. I hate to waste it all...

Now did you get the 4.5 gallon storage tank? Also, I'm not seeing this unit pushing 110gpd. you?

I ordered one of those ro/di units also. I should be getting mine on tues. Has anyone tested the water from it yet? I am interested int the results...I have heard that they work pretty well. I have been fighting water quality problem in this apartment sence I moved in a year ago. But I am getting really good at growing algae. I now have a brown algae that grows on my rock and when the snails eat it off there will be nice coriline growing under it. I just can't wait to start putting in good water. I think the first thing to do will be a major water change.
