RO/DI Unit

I am looking to purchase an RO/DI Unit. I have been told by some to purchase the Kent Marine Maxxima 50 and others told me to purchase SpectraPure (and stay away from Kent Marine). Can someone please help me decide which to purchase? I also noticed that Kent Marine has an Maxxima Hi-S model..is that better than the Maxxima 50? I hope to purchase this unit within a few days so the faster the responses the better. Thanks in advance!

The Hi-S has a special DI cartridge that removes more (99.9%) silicates. Either Spectrapure or Kent will be a good RO/DI system for you. You will not know the difference. Spectrapure has more options than Kent, but they cost more, and more options=more confusion. Get a unit with the highest gpd you can. I chose the Kent Maxxima Hi-S 60gpd. I got mine on sale for $220.
Good luck,
Sonny

I got mine on an online auction for $180. Check out on-line auctions for good units at very good prices. Mine is a 6 stage 100gpd unit. It works great. These units are brand new. Email me with any questions: landmeier@hotmail.com

I bought a Maxxima 50 from Kent Marine and I am in the processes of setting it up. One thing I was never told was the waste water that is produced. It has 150 gallons of waste water per 50 gallons of useable water. Do all ro/di machines work this way?
