I have a quick question for you guys. What brand of RO unit do you use and do you have and how are you storing the water ?
Thanks

got mine at Sams Club....its a 5 stage, cost me $150
I went and bought (3) 5 gallon drinking water jugs from my grocery store ( I had to ask, but they carried RO water in the big jugs)
I dumped the water in my tank, and now I just use a clear piece of airline tubing to run the water from the RO faucet and into the containers. Takes about 2 full days to get 15 gallons of water, then I just store them in the garage....they are perfect cuz I have a 55g so one of them is roughly a 10% water change....oh yeah, I got a 4th one, and its for the water siphoning out out my tank (vacuum)

Thanks for the info, I've been looking that the one's that have a tank with them. Only problem is most tanks are about 3 gallons. So it would take several days to get enough water for a change.
You can upgrade to 14 gallon tank which would be awesome, but that big old thing won't fit under the sink, I was going to have a spicket so we could actually drink from it too...Then lay the ole " I got you a water filter honey " trick ..
Anyone have an RO-DI with a tank system ?

I don't have one yet but I most likely will use a new 30g or so Rubbermaid trashcan for storage.

My RO unit was installed by Culligan and it makes 3 gallons in a couple of hours. I have 2 -5 gallon containers that I fill in advance of my water changes that I do every other week. We went with Culligan because we drink that water as well and have it hooked up to our icemaker and it has it's own countertop faucet. It is more pricey, so there are cheaper ways to go, especially if you are handy.
I didn't know that Sam's Club had units or I would have checked that unit out first.

I have been using the Typhoon III. I store my water in 2 44 gallon Brute trash cans. 1 trashcan in for saltwater and the 2nd if for fresh RO/DI water and has a float valve for auto top off. Never have to worry about it.
