Does the Deionization Cartridge get dark right after using the first few times? Bought a unit slightly used and cartridge is dark brown and used to be a light beige. I'm of course wondering if it has had much more use then suggested. Any help or input greatly appreciated....

imo, but the money you saved buying the used filter system should now be spent on brand new replacement cartridges who knows whats in the old ones

Yes i agree that would be a good idea but he had said he only processed 50 gallons so far. I got a deal but it wasn't good enough to replace all the filters and come out on top. Just wondering if the Deionization Cartridge turns dark right away when you use it the first couple times.....
