RO/DI water?

I just bought 5 gallons of "drinking water" from walmart and it says reverse osmosis on it but is it deionized too? Is this the water I should use for water changes? I have been using my well water for it which I test and all the levels are perfect but the levels in my tank are still a little off. I am wondering if the water is the cause? :notsure:

I buy just RO water for my lfs.
RO/DI water is better.
Where in walwart did you go for this water and what did it cost you a gal.
I pay .59 at the lfs.

I went to the isle where they sell the drinks and water and stuff. I paid 64 cents a gal. what are you saying that my water is not DI?

No! I asked the guy at my lfs and he said that I was only buying RO water for .59 a gal.
I live near a walmart and if they have RO/DI water there for .69 a gal, then maybe I will pay them a visit.
RO/DI is better water, and for .10, it would be worth it until a get a unit to make the water.
Thanks.

Sorry but I don't think "drinking water" from walmart is RO or DI. I've used distilled from walmart before.

I have heard from other thread that walmart does have water, I guess I will just have to go down there and ask someone who knows.
If it on a lable, it just might be.

meijers has it for less then $0.30 a gallon if you bring your own container. Bring in 5 gallon jugs.. i think its around $0.24 a gallon, but it might be $0.28 i forget. but meijers is open 24/7 so its a good place to go! especially if you ever need an emergency water change!

before I bought my RO/DI unit,I bought the distilled water from walmart (steam distilled).I would go with distilled over R/O drinking water.

oh ok I already have the RO drinking water running with the salt I will check he levels beore changing it, but ifthe levels are ok it should be fine for this time right? And where is meijers I've never heard of it? So I thought RO was more of what I was looking for than steam distilled that doesn't make sense to me.

Yes if it says RO then it is. A lot of jugs are labeled "drinking water" and it's hard to tell exactly what it is. Sorry if i alarmed you. Good luck.
