RO/DO What do you suggest

Ok, so I am goinng to look into a RO/DO and maybe make it my next big purchase. any suggestions. I do not have 1k to spend on one but would consider around 300 bucks.
I saw some at lowes that are like 3 stage for 125. I dunno what to look for in one either what should it do and not do.

I was also looking at the 3 stage at Lowes. I'll tag along on this one to see what's said.

i just got one from another website and i love it. it is way more convenient to have your own. it is an ro with an optional DI filter canister. i use RO to drink and DI for the tank. it was $200 with shipping and works great. PM me for details if u want.

I also saw a 4 or 5 stage one there for a few bucks more but I really dunno what tds is DOW or any of that stuff so im lost.

What did you get pic ? why did you pic it as opposed to all the rest out there.

Air Water and Ice Typhoon 5 or Typhoon III. I like the III because you get a TDS meter with it. IMO These RO/DI units are fantastic.

yes, the one from Lowe's is fine. I got one off the site where you place bids or "buy it now" from someone called AquaSafeCanada and it is working fine after 4 years.

I looked at the typhoon 5 and thhe 3 which one do you use ?
I could not find a price on them either. I ccut and pasted thhe names into google I would see a description but never could get a price... I am gonna look again now it was late andd I was tired fo I probably just did not see it..
Anyway why do you like the typhoon ?
and the drinkmore whats it about ?

I went to that site and I could not see a product or anything and nowhere did I see a buy it now or anything like that. I would click on say maximus II and it would say to be built or something...

I have to wait on this for sure. I will be using culligan water from the good ol' wal-marts ffor awhile it seems as I need other stufff for the new 75 gallon tank and I want another koralia for my 75... dang mann why does this hobby have to be so expensive... Oh ya and thhe water from lowes pre-bottled I found a new plae to get it w00t.

Judging from all your other posts, the reason it is getting so expensive so quickly is because you are moving way too fast. I wouldn't have dreamed of putting fish into my brand new uncycled tank until at least week 6. Now it seems like you are trying to buy anything and everything you can to undo your mistakes. Are you trying to impress someone with your new tank or something?
