RO Help!

I think I messed up. I don't know why but I pulled the membrane out. Now when I turn it on it shoots water across the room!!! The company I usaully buy from is acting shady lately, not responding to people and stuff. Do you think I should just buy a new one or can this be fixed???

It can be fixed by putting a membrane back in.

I put the membrane back in but it has a funny black seal that looks like it can be folded either way. It seems that if I fold it down and push the membrane in the seal is just going to reverse itself anyways and fold up. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
