RO/Pump questions

Would it be ok to run the 1/4" RO output from the basement through the floor upstairs next to my tank? Or would I lose clean water production from the back pressure of the height? I was thinking I could fill the tub with water right next to my tank, for easier water changes. What's a good pump to use to pump water out of the tank, then pump the fresh saltwater back into the tank? Does anyone do this already? Would you use an external pump...?

Id imagine it would be to much back preaure on your membrane but you could try it with an old filter

i would drip your fresh water into a container then get one of those large pumps to pump it up to the tank...or just put the pump up stairs with the line running into your container downstairs so that it will draw the water up then the output would be going into your tank

I have a heat duct I could run a water line through, from the basement. What kind of pumps are we talking about here?
