RO unit..To drink or not to drink? That is the question

Side note: I already had a RO drinking water unit Not SPectraPure though. However, I did order their add on cartridge before this email. I wanted them to tell me it was okay by asking them about their system. Figured there would have been a better chance they would answer if they thought I was looking at their total system. Based on their reply I did the following and put a tee from my RO unit to faucet and ran one leg of the tee to the basement were I have the DI cartridge with shut off valves before and after the cartridge. Not saying this is right but how I am doing it to get DI for my tanks.
