Do you have a link for the spectrapure? A friend needs a new filter for his unit I have not come across a site that sells them.

I know someone posted that Sears filters were not good, but I bought a year-end model from Sears for $69 and it works great. Not real fast, took about 24 hours to get 20 gallons. I've tested for Phosphates, copper, nitrates, and get 0. It's installed in the vanity in the half-bath and we use this water to fill our water bottles too. Tastes great.

Just go to your Web Brouser's search engine and type Spectrapure, it will take you to the manufacture's site.
Since SWF.com also sells RO units, I'm not going to post links to competitors.

So, BigMac, what would you say the difference is in performance between the Spectrapure and the high-end Kent RO's?? They seem pretty much the same to me, except for the price tag.

I have mine hooked up under the kitchen sink, about ten feet from my tank.
It came with a spout thing that goes in the hole where the sprayer pulls out...wife is mad so now I have to buy a pull out type faucet.
I like the spout thing, though.
The waste water line hooks directly into a drain pipe, so I do not know what it looks like, nor do I suppose I would drink it even If i could.

Can the waste water line have back pressure? I want to install the unit under a vanity sink and run the good water line up 3 feet to a bucket and the waste line to my tub that is 4 feet away and 2 foot rise over the tub edge, so would this cause back pressure and the water to go nowhere?
