well right now i have the kent 60-hi-s, i was gonna go today and get the saddle valves (drain and intake) to hook it up under my sink.. but confused on what to use to turn the incoming water off , or would it be better to shut the outcoming (procesed ro water) off ?
ill call my lfs and see if they carry what u are talking about
i dont plan on using this for drinking btw, so i dont have a res tank for it

i would def not shut off the outcoming ro water since that line is pressurized and will eventuall cause u to spring a leak somewhere,
i actually have mine set up in the garage to a spicket and have a 30 gallon drum that i fill up and then just turn the water when it is filled, after awhile u know how long it takes to fill but prob not as fail safe as the float valve ( that is untill the solenoid craps out )

How much effort is involved in connecting it under the sink? I'm not a plumber by any means, but want to do this application for ease of use and relatively worry-free operation.
Any place I can find out the details of pluming mine in?
