RO water sources??

anyone know where to get RO water.. i really cant plumb one into my apartments sink, and i need alot! like 100 gallons of the stuff..
i brought a 75 gallon for my freshwater fish, and im going to use the old 30 gallon for my first reef tank. so in order to get things up and running, ill need about 100 gallons.,. thats alot to pick up in gallon jugs at the store.
just wondering if there could be any other sources.. i hear some LFS 's sell some, but the quaility is questionable..
i personally havent asked at any of the local fish sources yet... just wondering if theres another option
regards,
jib

I bought a Typhoon II from airwaterice.com. It's a RO/DI 5 stage filter system. If you buy the faucet adapter there's no plumbing involved. The faucet adapater hooks up into the inlet valve, the waste water line goes into your sink drain and the outlet for the final product goes into your container. I use a 32 ga plastic garbage can that I set on stand that has swivel wheels for easy movement. Inside my container I have a submersible heater and aerator for mxing up my salt for water changes or water for top offs. If you like send me your email and I will send you a photo of my setup.

RO is reverse osmosis - its a way of clearing the crap out of water.. the end result is supposed to be alot closer to distilled water than just using regular tap water.
i live in allentown, pa.. and the water is very hard, and has a high ph... so rather than spending 50 bucks on 100 gallon jugs, i can probably find another source.. carting 100 jugs around is dumb
i looked at airwaterice.com and looked at the typhoon.. looks like most of the other RO/DI units i see out there...
you just temporarily connect it to your faucet? i would like to see any pictures you have. (i have cable modem, btw.. so dont worry too much on size)

Wal-Mart R/O water is good quality. Never had a problem using it. Wal-Mart's water is processed by Reverse Osmosis, steamed distillation, and ozonation. Never had a diatom or brown algae problem with it and the water tests absolutely perfect after a water change. It is from Magnetic Springs Water Co. Gordan Bros. is another co that has good R/O water.

jibbittyflibbit ... If you don't want to lug all those bottle you could call a water company like Culligan or Absopure - the guys who do home delivery of bottled water (5 gallon jugs). Around me Culligan has RO/DI water. I checked into it and they would deliver 40 of the 5 gallon bottles for me... pretty cool, BUT the cost works out to about 80cents a gallon!! HTH.
