when people store ro water for topping off do you have to do anything like use a ph and a heater or is that only for mixing salt water? Will ro water be fine just in a bucket with out the other stuff and if so how long will it be okay?

i just leave mine in the jugs i fill it up in until i use it

the reason why the heaters and powerheads is to get a good mixture. you should mix your salt when storing the ro water. never add salt directly to your tank....at least thats what i was told. you want the water just about the same temp as your tank water so your fish dont get stressed out....so people use a heater.

ro can be kept for quite a while without circulation. If you make saltwater, keep it circulating with a powerhead 24 to 36 hours prior to use. matching temp is always good. always keep saltwater circulating

I am making 30-35 gallons of RO/DI right now and I have a ph and a heater in it with a lid on it. How long can it sit if I only use @ 2 gallons every other day.?
