Rock cleaning Question

I periodically clean my live rock with a small pipette which I have herd was a good idea to do every now and then, however i recently noticed a spike in my copepod, amphriopod population(after adding true live sand) and was wondering if blowing the rocks would harm these tiny invertibrates? It seems that whenever i do gently blow my live rock i see one or two amphriopods floating around in my tank as a result of cleaning(cant see the copepods floating cause they are so small only when they are on the rocks can i see them). what should i do? what do you guys do?

Clean your rocks, the pods will head back to them when your done. They get blown around by powerheads all day long.:)

Easiest way to clean live rocks in the tank is to take a powerhead, disconnect it from the glass and just direct it wherever the detritus is.
