great playing, just not great blues playing. it's not completely terrible, but it's no SRV, Hendrix, or Clapton. but it is WAY too fast.
You know what they say about opinions. But his technical prowess is undeniable regardless of the style of music. You might not like his blues or you might think he plays too fast; but I think the guitar players you cited play too slow.

1. you're going to get banned using language like that on this site.
2. if people like SRV and Hendrix are Bentley, then the Formula 1 people are those like Hammett and Mustaine.....people that can actually play with speed AND melody.

your definition of rock and roll is correct and I understand your point however, I dont beleive that instruments are limited to a certain genre of music. Rock and roll is pretty much an extinct term in modern music, now generally refered to as rock.
Grandmaster Flash is a great influence on music today; rock, rap, hip hop, music in general. Rock and roll as well as all music evolves, incorporating new sound. many modern bands have incorporated turntables into there music; 311, incubus and i am sure many others.
Also there are many artists from other genres inducted into the rock and roll hof. maybe they should change the name to music hof or something
