Rock question

I have about 80 lbs of rock that was live until I took it out to get rid of a hairy algae problem. It has been sitting in tubs of fresh water for many many months but I haven't been filling the tubs back up so half of the rock has dried and is turning white. What would be the best procedure to use before putting the rock back into the main tank? Total recure for a month in tubs of saltwater or just cleaning first or?

i think its safe to say that anything that was alive is now dead. you could just scrub the rocks off and add them back to the main tank in small amounts over time. if you want to recycle the rock first just replace the the fresh water with salt and add a heater and some ph and give it a few weeks.
