rock shapes/falling over problems

i stack my rocks free form ( no epoxy ) and they just keep falling down. i only am stacking them 2 high as they really do not have any form to them just like a big blob of base rock. some are really but for the most part it's just clumps. if epoxy is the only way is it worth it? im not too found of switching up my aquarium layouts my fish get stressed everytime i do and in the future if possible i plan to keep corals ( not sure if my state allows it don't know anyone here that sells corals or will allow shipping ( i live in Hawaii ). forgot to mention does the epoxy stay green and if so how much is actually needed to keep the rocks together? i'd like them to stay together easily i do have a trigger that LOVES to nibble on the rocks and chip it off once in a while

i was also wondering is their any way to shape base rock? my parents bought the base rock and the place that sells them don't really have good shapes to pick from. if their a DIY way to shape them maybe chip it out to hollow it out or something without making it look bad or sharp to the point it can hurt the fish.

I stacked my rock with no epoxy. You just gotta get them perfectly stacked. Bigger prices on the bottom. Maybe if there is a flatish area on the rock put that side up and use that as the base.

I'm gonna be no help here.

the problem with that is i read somewhere you don't want that as it will leave like dead spots meaning whatever is under the rock will not get filtered and thus say food got stuck under their it would just rot. not sure if that is correct or not but that is what i read/heard from someone on youtube i believe.

might try that usually i don't do that which is probably why my rocks keep falling. i think i got some in good places atm hopefully my fish don't knock it down
