Rock Smells HORRIBLE + Grey Color

Hey Guys,
Got my 90 gallon (didnt receive the overflow kit yet so no water in 90) but I do have water and rock inside my refugium below it. Question I have is why it smells HORRIBLE and why the color of the rock changed from normal (when I bought it) to a greyish color now.
I left the rock inside the bag (no water inside bag) for 3 days because I didn't have the fuge set up yet, so im wondering if it is die off from the rock that is now grey and smells so bad. If it is the die-off then how can I get rid of this horrible smell?

Yep its die off for sure, only thing you can do now is water changes and run a skimmer if you have one. If necessary you may even need to scrub some of those rocks and rinse them in the old saltwater from the fuge.
opening a window might not hurt either.

That's exactly what I'm thinking...I'm glad I don't have to put up with that...

Let's hope it goes away, FAST! :scared:
I have the smelly pieces of rock in a huge bucket full of saltwater, think that would help it out?

if the buckets big enough toss in a small power head to get the water moving all over the tock your basicly going to cure it all over
