man at the lfs i work at we have a constant supply of these guys. we started with one, then it split and one of the other guys took it home, then it split on him, so he borught the extra to the store and then it split again, and now i think we have 4 altogether, with about 6 others throughout the community, an dthey arent cheap, about 150 bucks a pop!

Can I get a description of what a rose anemone looks like? I bought what I thought was supposed to be one from a lfs a few months ago but was only 35 bucks. My guy is about 5 inches across when it is open, and is a pale rose color all over with slightly lighter spots on the end of the tips. There are also about 7-8 little white stripes around the mouth.

Do all bubble-tips split or is it just rose-tips?

many, not all bta's will split, not just rose anemones, however you have to provide them with pristine water conditions for this to occur. yosemite, soory to say, but that does look like just a plain ole bta. a rose bta will be almost electric red, and will look like its painted or dyed, however, this is its natural color.
rroberts, my false perc hosts in my bta, and for some reason loves my zooanthid polyps. if you cna id try to stay away from anemones unless you have the proper lighting set up for them, as they are just typically hard to keep alive in captivity.
