Rosebud Anemone

So I've heard multiple ideas on this issue; why is my rosebud stretched out and not "buded"?
Just wanted to hear some suggestions. He is getting plenty of light, fed 2 - 3 times a week, hosted by the clowns, water parameters are all great ... etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
David

What do you consider plenty of light? and what do you mean by stretching?
I have 2 rose bta's ...they do not always bubble, BUT..are not reacing for light either...

2-3watts per gallon low-level light, 4-5 moderate, 10- High intensity, the depth of tank and if the lights are suspended matters, it’s actually the levels of lumens at what depth. In a large tank an anemone with move to the right conditions of flow, and light. Much bad luck with internal flow, many move into the power heads, there was an example of a bio ball in the intake of a power head, not certain it is 100% safe.

What lighting do you have and what size tank? It has been my experience that stretched out BTA are reaching for light. As for the bubbled tentacles, so do some don't and there is not a concrete reason as to why.

If they are not bubbled they might be releasing waste. My bta in flares and deflates all the time.

Some BTA's just don't bubble. I've had tons, some bubble all the time, some bubble some of the time, and some just plain never do. There is a theory that it has to do with where they're collected, etc. I'm not sure if I fully believe that. I've tried different flow, different lighting and had the same effects, it's random. If color is good and you feel that you have enough lighting (would like to know what your lighting and other parameters are), it may just be the anemone. But again, lets rule out lighting, etc first.
