Royal Gramma/Fairy Basslet Swimming question

My royal gramma/fairy basslet swims weird. It lays on the side and it also swims sideways.
Is it like the hawk fish that swim weird or is this something i should be worried about?

My R.G. swam upside down, sideways, just following the rock contour.
He always did swim rightside up out in the open though when he was away from his lair.

It swims weird on the rock which doesn't worry me but it even does it out in the open, even while eating...........
So this is normal, right?

I would think that as long as he is not swimming nose up or down he would be acting like a RG should. Good luck

nah, they just swim weird. youll really know if he's not healthy, the color will be off, wont be eating, etc. but if these are not the case, then your fish is probably fine.
mine swims kinda sideways and sometimes I have to do a double take, like, "ok, are you sick or are you just being your weird self? no, youre fine."
