Put the Royal gramma in 3 days ago. It hung around for about a day and havent seen him since.
I think I know what cave it is in. How do I tell if its dead. Unfortunately the cave is on the bottom of the tank and I would have to disassemble the rockwork to confirm death.
Is there any way to coax it out.
I heard they are shy but 2 days of feeding and I havent seen it. Should I wait a couple more days and take apart the rockwork or just let it lye.

Do you have hermits? If so and it is dead they should be all over it. Also check your ammonia and trite to see if there's a spike. If so it could be dead. Some seem to be sketchy though?

Nitrite and Ammonia are still both at 0 ppm.
I do not have any hermits.
Suggestions from this point?

I just got a royal gramma and it stayed hidden for the first 3 days and it took it another day to peak out when i was feeding and finally came out to eat another day or so after. would give it some time before dissassembling the rock work.
