Royal Gramma Question

I was just thumbing through a book Marine Fishes by Scott Michael and he mentions that there a 2 species of the Royal Gramma. The diffrence being that one has yellow stripes over the eyes, and that this species can be kept in groups. I've never heard this before and was wondering if anyone else has more than 1 in a tank. everything else I've heard says that you could only keep 1 per tank.

Pet store I go to had about 10-15 of them in a tank this weekend. Some kind I always see.

You can have more than one royal gramma per tank as long as u get at least 3 and 1 is a male.. to --- them u must put a group of them together. two males will face each other and fight...females ignore each other...i am sure your LFS will cooperate in doing this...maybe <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" />

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check with my LFS to see if they will do this. I'm sure they will help. The royal is one of my wife's favorites, and she would like to have 3 in our 80 gallon.
