Running carbon in reef tank

What are the benefits of running carbon?My water never looks crystal clear.IT is clear but not crystal clear would this help?Would it hurt my corals in reef?Just trying to get info for water to look crystal clear.

carbon will help. Just make sure to wash it off before using it.

I run carbon 24/7 in my reef and it dosen't hurt my corals. My water is always crystal clear. Make sure you change the carbon often.
