Running MH.

I just set up my frag tank and this is my first time having MH. It is a 29 with 175 12k. If I dont have any algae problems then how long can I run it? I have it running 11hrs a day is this ok? I dont have actinics or anything else with it. And I dont have any heat problems

Thats probobly a little long. I think most have it on for around 8.

I run my 150 watt on my 29 gallon for 9 hours a day. 8 - 10 is recommended.

I find 10 hours a day Ideal. A total light cycle of 12 hours using actinics only for 1 hour before and 1 hour after is a great cycle which has worked well for me.

My schedule is as follows:
7am - 9:30am actinics
9am - 7pm MH
6:30pm - 9pm actinics
remaining time lunars
