One time ammount to get it there, then you have to average out a span of days to get your daily dose ammount.
So if it says:
Ammount required- 185 teaspoons, this is your one time ammount to get it to your desired level
Then you would dose that, then test daily, and adding the ammount to keep it at that level.
So say you were using Reef Fusion 1 and 2 (refrenced as RF 1 and RF 2) and your desired Cal-410, Alk 10dkh and Mag 1350
Day one1 test-
Cal- 400
Alk- 9dkh
Mag- 700
Plug those numbers in to the calculator for a 30 gallon:
Cal- 11.3 ml RF 1 to get back to 410
Alk- 9.1 ml RF 2 to get back to 10
Mag- 185 tsp of Reef advantage magnesium to get to 1350
Day 2 test-
Cal- 398
Alk- 9.1 dkh
Mag- 1345
Plug those numbers in to the calculator for a 30 gallon:
Cal- 13.6 ml RF 1 to get back to 410
Alk- 8.2 ml RF 2 to get back to 10
Mag- 1.4 tsp of Reef advantage magnesium to get to 1350
Day 3 test-
Cal-400
Alk-9 dkh
Mag-1345
Plug those numbers in to the calculator for a 30 gallon:
Cal- 11.3 ml RF 1 to get back to 410
Alk- 9.1 ml RF 2 to get back to 10
Mag- 1.4 tsp of Reef advantage magnesium to get to 1350
Then take your average dose over that 3 day span:
Calc- 11.3+11.3+13.6= 36.2 36.2 / 3= 12.066 or 12ml of RF 1 a day dose
Alk- 9.1+9.1+8.2= 26.4 26.4 / 3= 8.8 ml RF 2 a day dose
Mag- was steady at 1.4 tsp a day dose of Reef Advantage Mag
This is hypothetical situation, but the way I did it and it worked well. Then on sundays I retest to see if it is off rom my desired levels of 410 cal, 10 alk and 1350 mag.
