Rusty Angel...

Four days ago I bought an Rusty Angel From my lfs. First I looked up what they ate and it said brine and flake food. Since I've gone through the full 2 hour Acclimation time (like it said on this site) He has just been hiding in the LR. Since then he hasn't come up to eat.. Is he scared or just feasting off the LR?

Let it adjust to a new environment for a couple of days. Once it feels more comfortable, it should start swimming around and feeding.

so fish take longer than others to get used to their enviroment

some good foods to get fish te eat are mysis shrimp, and fresh fish or live food, but angels can be shy fish and it might take upto a week and half for them to acclimate to your tank, but the rusty will pick food off your LR also

ok good i was just scared that he would starve to death, thank you. Will the Angel eat live shrimp?

OH YEAH, THEY'LL GO AFTER LIVE BRINE, BUT TRY TO FIND LIVE MYSIS WAY BETTER FOR THEM BUT VERY HARD TO FIND STORES THAT CARRY IT, ALL THIS TALKING ABOUT THE RUSTY MAKES ME MISS MINE, POOR GUY IS DEAD

he should eat live shrimp, most fish will, but he really needs more green foods. He needs lots of nori.
