Sad Month For Us

The way it looks alot of us aggressive keepers are haveing a bad month. One lost a eel that they have had for quite some time. One lost a sfe in a new setup. One guy lost his whole set up. I lost my mantis the other night. He started his molt and didnt survive. All the water paremeters were great. He was doing great also. Had him in his own tank for a little over 3 months. I hope no one else has the bad luck that we have had.

Hopefully this luck will end. I also lost my yellow sting ray I've had for about 3 years. He never recovered from a cone snail sting.

Your right. That's pretty weird. I never read about so much death in aggressive...I think someone also lost a bamboo recently, too.
Was your mantis' shell brown in color? I finally confirmed that it means they are nearing the end, maybe it was just "his time"? Mine just died one day, too.

His colors were very nice still. Thats the weird thing. He was acting the same. Then he started his molt. He was fine at first. Shed a little. Then it all went down hill from there.

To shed some light on everything, both of my rays have completely recovered from the parasites that they had a few weeks ago. Luckily, I only had to use the pair of cleaner wrasses that now reside in my 29g QT. The wrasses themselves have been turned on to brine and mysis shrimp, so it looks like Ill have them for a while too. Hang in there guys, there is always a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes it just takes longer to get there.

Throw me into the pool as well.. I lost my scorpion fish this week. I was getting ready to move him because my baby Tessy Eel was growing up.. I guess I waited a day too long.

I got a new SFE this week, yay for new life, right.
Unfortunately the sebae clown i got to go in his tank to add a little color, is still sitting at the bottom of the tank after a day or so. Still breathing, but just sitting there, kinda of leaning on a rock. All water parameters are perfect, acclimated them both over three hours.
