Sad news

Well I recived my very first set of seahorses today.First both appear to be females,there was a F circled on the bag,I am assumimg that is what it meant. Well these were my first seahorses ever and one arrived DOA. We followed the acclimation procedures but nothing. I have one that lived and one died. I feel so bad for the living one because she is all alone. Well at least I have one but am just devasted at the loss. We have oordered fish before and had mostly all good luck. Should I get this little girl a friend and should I specify I want a male?

Horses do MUCH better in pairs

yes they are from this site. I have heard they do better in pairs so will need to reorder one. will it be ok to wait for the refund or should I just order it now?

have you contacted SWF.com about the loss and let them know and followed the directions they gave you?
you can reorder at anytime in this case because it wasnt your tank that caused the death. shipping deaths happen without any seen reason. if it had died in your tank then I would look more for a reason before I ordered another one.

yes I contacted them, I called and they gave me the return directions and said I would be refunded.funny thing is I didn't pay for it MIl did for a birthday present. I will be reorderiing but I think this site has a 79 min and am not sure what else to order.This was my first order from this site normally we have a diffrent site.

I woke up this morning to find my second seahorse dead. I am not sure why,she was just added yesterday.

Im soooo sorry for your losses
I had the same thing happen to the horses I ordered from here and have been hesitiant to reorder. I still have a 60$ credit w/them I havent used

lastnight she would lay on the sand then get up and swim a while and the hitch to something then swim then back to the bottom. I thought maybe just cause a new enviorment.this is my first try with these guys is this normal behavior for their first few hours in a new tank?
