Sad Sad day :(

I woke up this morning. I was expecting my anemone to be in the same exact spot that it was in last night. But I turned on the lights it wasn't there. I looked around the tank only to see the poor anemone committed suicide :( He must have floated up near the filter and it sucked him in the little holes. (HOB filter) I was very disappointed because I had just got him like 2-3 days ago. Does this mean it was sick or weak?

No, it means you have to cover all power heads and intake tubes to keep any anemone.
I have attached a picture of some really useful books

YEAH....COVER THE POWERHEADS AND INTAKES.....he was an anemone doing what they do...they wander until they find "their" spot........Obviously they don't know to keep from the powerheads and intakes...that's our job as responsible aquarist to protect them from that!

They sell filters that fit over a mag jet. For a Koralia, any odd shaped power head..I use fluval filters and cut them to size, then kind of sew it together with clear fish line. You don’t need a needle just weave it through the mesh. A stocking will work too, but it is so fine that you have to clean it daily because it will clog too fast. I do remove the power head when I do this and then put it back in the same place it was before.
Hope this helps. For as long as you keep any anemone you must cover power heads and intake tubes. They can go roaming at anytime, even if they have stayed put for a year….I speak from experience.

do they get in overflow boxes too?
Im not an expert at that , But ive never heard of them doing that. If the fins of the overflow box reach above the surface i wouldnt think there should be a problem. Just make sure you have some kind of spong over your intakes.
