My V Lionfish that I've had for over a year now just died, it sucks, I better check the prams.

I dunno he starting letting off his stress coat a few days ago and then looked really out of it yesterday, breathing hard and such, :sigh: I guess I'll just do a water chage and move on. :nope:

Sorry for your loss Ed. Lions are pretty hardy fish... you may want to check things out in your tank to ensure there isn't an serious problem in the water parameters.
I have a V Lion, and have had him for over a year and I couldn't bear to have anything happen to him.

Only time lions aren't too hardy is when it comes to bacterial infections, at least that's my experience when it comes to my half dozen dwarfs.
Did he show any signs of infection? Any signs of cloudy eye?

His eyes got clody and puffy, I have reason to belive it was bacterial.

Sorry Ed, I wish I knew what to do in that case, the only dwarf lions I've lost was due to popeye, two of them, one juvenile and one my old pal.
You going to try it again with another lion?

I don't think so, can't replace him, at least not yet.
