Safely raising salinity

I am about to add a sebae anemone to my tank. I have been keeping my salinity at 1.19 due to some problems with ich in the past. I was informed that I would need to raise my salinity to 1.21 for the anemone's benefit
What is the safest way to raise? What time span should I use to raise it?
Thanks for the help.

i believe anenomes should have a higher salinity... closer to 1.025.... Someone else have an imput?
To raise it.. water changes.... Do a few small water chages with water with a high salinity. How fast and how large depends on if you have any other inverts or not. Is your anenome your first invert?

I do have a chocolate chip starfish. I also have a domino damsel, blue damsel and tomato clown fish.
I was told to take maybe a gallon of water out of my tank and add some salt to that and pour it back in. I just don't want to do too much too fast and hurt the fish.

0.005 per day is what I do...I have gone faster with no detrimental effects that were apparent, but I wouldn't raise it faster than 0.01 over the course of two days.

You can also do top offs with water at a higher salinity until you get it where you want. This should raise it gradually. :D

You need to be around 1.024 and raise it about .005 each day and take your readings each day at the same time and when the tank is the same temp, same lighting cycle, etc.

you can raise your salinity to 1.021 today if you want to, but no further. you go by 2's when you raise it a day. example: 1.019 to 1.021 to1.023...etc. also technically you could leave your salinity at 1.021 but the anemones like it better between 1.023 to 1.025. good luck.
