Hey there.

He has eaten very well the last 2 days.
Also, the spots are almost gone...let's hope he's now on the mend.

I changed 5 gal of water today and added buffer and Amquel. SG still steady at 1.009. I still wont start counting down the weeks until ALL spots are gone.

Hey! That is so great to hear!!! It does sound like the worst is gone. Just keep the water levels great and you will be good

I know it's been awhile, but I thought I'd give an update. My PBT is still in the QT. It has been about 5 weeks since the last sign of Ich. He's been in hypo at 1.009 this entire time and I am now just beginning the increase of SG to 1.025 (which is what my DT is). I'll take at least a week to do this. Then one more week of being in the QT at 1.025 and I can finally put him in the DT.
He's going to think the 125gal DT is HUGE compared to the 16 gal QT. I'm excited to put him in there and hope he gets along with my other fish.
Thank you all so much for your help and advice on QT and hypo. I was really nervous about doing the hypo as I hadn't even heard of it until 2 months ago. It seemed to have worked great and in retrospect it really wan't that difficult to do.
Now I'm just trying to decide whether to keep the QT up and running with no fish, or get a little fish to keep in there...OR not keep it running and just set it up again when and if I need it.
