Safety effort turns into accident

Ok, for the past couple months I have been dealing with algae problem. These past couple of weeks red algae has been my biggest problem. So what I decided to do was UltraLife for red algae remover (recommended by two different LFS, which was claimed works better than chemi-clean), and Phos-Absorb for general algae problem.
Put in the UltraLife just fine. Until I tried to put in the Phos-Absorb. The pouch was too big to put into my filter. Consequently, as stated by the direction, I took out some of the content of the pouch and put it into my filter. What happened next? My filter started blowing off little white Phos-Absorb. They are everywhere, mixed with sand, on top of lr, corals, everywhere . I gave up. I stop the filter and went to the movies :D .
When I got home I decided to use the pouch, with only small amount of it left, tied it, and put it into my filter. Works fine. However I still have those white stuff everywhere. Will it do me or my tank any harm? It's ok, right? I just need someone to tell me that it's ok, that I don't need to pick those up, one by one. It's just impossible. I cannot tell the difference btw that and my sand. So someone just please tell me I'm ok :( .
Thanks,

i surely don't know the damage that could cause, but maybe you could siphon some of it up? it may be lighter than the sand. just something to try maybe.

Yeah, try and remove it when you clean but I honestly don't think much damage will be done if you miss some.
I use the Phos-zorb too, and that pouch IS big, so what I do is cut open the pouch, then spoon some into the filter bag with the carbon. I have a small tank too and that pouch is too much to use for my 20g. It ends up where I use 1/3 of the pouch every month.
