Sailfin Tang......

I'm thinking about getting a sailfin tang for my 120 gal. when it's ready. Would the tank be okay with a blue hippo tang? Would they fight? :happyfish

1-tang to 1-tank

but it has to be one tang to one tank, it doesn't matter how big of the tank! I see at pet stores theres at least 2 tangs to the tank, usually one yellow and one sailfin!

it all depends on how long your blue hippo has been by himself, he will probably beat on any tang you add at this point. i have heard if you want more than one tang to add them at the same time. i got a sailfin and within a few days added a powder blue tang and the sailfin was a bully for a little while, but now they are best friends.

Don't take anything you see at the LFS as being the right thing to do.

oh ok i see now, I don't have any tangs yet, i'm just planing for the future! So I'll just get the sailfin and the blue hippo at the same time! Thanks for the advice!

most people can get away with 2 tangs in one tank if they are different body shaped and color

oh ok well now I know, and I looked up the size of the sailfin tang, way too big! their supposed to grow about 16in!!!!!!!:scared:
