hey got a new sailfin tang about two days ago looks great and is eating amazingly but today i got home and turned the light on...my tang was just chillin in a corner instead of swimming around as he usually does i left the light on for an hour and tried to feed but he was the same. Then i noticed that my volitan lion was stalking him and even tried to eat him once but he is only three inches and the tang is two inches and tall so he cant possibly fit in his mouth, but i think he is getting stressed from the lion always folloing him i just fed the lion so maybe he will leave him alone. any suggestions would help thanx

he is actually acting normal today i guess he just has to get used to the tank and dont worry i plan on giving him back to the pet store when he gets too big im a big impulse buyer( not the greatest thing) and usually buy fish without regard to size i plan on doing the same with my tassled filefish, which get huge, but thanx for the advice

They are a large tang, but definitely not the largest. However, they are the fastest growing tang that I have ever own.

This is not a good idea, especially with a more aggressive fish such as a Sailfin Tang. When fish are placed in tanks that are too small for them, even if they are still juveniles, it creates more stress and territorial aggression. 90% of the time, they are also not nearly as healthy. Tangs are open water swimmers and even if he's small, he shouldn't be in that tank.
