Sailfin Tangs

OMG!!! I just went to my LFS and they have sailfins for $50!!! I so wanted to get one, but... i don;t know. They had a huge, fully-grown blueface angel in thier 2nd show tank... about 14"!!!

50 dollars for a sail fin?? I am glad I dont live near you. I got mine from a store in Raliegh NC for 29.. He is a really cool fish. Lots of personality!

I love my sailfin he eats algea all day long! I bought him @ New World Aquarium 204 East 38th ST in Manhattan NY, this id the best LFS in NY, I paid $30 for mine and thats in NY.

is this a regular sailfin or a red sea sailfin?
The red sea sailfins are much more expensive and much prettier. They are beautiful fish that need large tanks due to there quick growth.

Hey Help Me out with this you sailors. When I first was setting up my 75 gal tank one of my early fish was a sailfin. We loved it's attitude thing - BUT finally we started to wonder just how tough his attitude might be. Don't they have a sharp barb just under the caddle fin? And will they use it often or just if in trouble with another fish??
