Salinity Problems

I just checked my salinity and it is very low at the top of the tank and quite high at the bottom.
why is this?
is this bad?

Do you have pumps or powerheads moveing/circulating the water in your tank.....Hard to beleive you get different readings unless there no flow in the tank...

pumps but its circulates great. its weird... i just went to test again and it's much closer now. I just topped the tank off with fresh and I guess it did not mix yet...

if u use a hydrometer there might have been a bubble on the sswivel arm

sometimes bubles get on the swivel arm and make it rise to the top

simply tap it to remove the bubbles or wait ten minutes. thats what i do anyway
