hey guys i just got a refractometer for christmas and i took a reeding, and i got a 1.03, is that where it should be, just wondering, what are acceptable levels for a reef tank??

IMO, 1.024 to 1.026

maybe some red sea fish and coral would be okay but you should drop it to dogstars numbers for your animals sake and your pocketbook because you are wasting salt

i got it down to between 1.028 to 1.026. I cnat find any distilled water on Christmas day and i am leaving for vacation in 9 hours. HELP

you maat want to add tap water with a chlorine and chloramine(misspelled) remover if you are going to be gone for any extended period of time because it is going to be going back up do to evaporation
