salinity where does everyone prefer?

Most reefs are 81-82F in the wild some times with only 1.018 salinity lol... Keeping a tank on the cold side is for cheapos that don't want to keep up with feeding or water changes, nutrient export. IMO. I keep my tanks at 1.025 and 81F for invert friendliness.

Much of the micro inverts found in live rock will die at that specific gravity.

That's me too. If you end up moving your fish to the lower salinity from your other tank, you need to acclimate them well. Your inverts will have a hard time at that salinity.

Agreed... I've also notice that you can really knock out the time it takes for a cycle keeping a tank at 1.025 from day one.
