The OP asked for salinity and was given his answer as specific gravity. If they disregarded the answer because it's not what they were looking for (*as I would have, since you didn't quote), and heeded yours, it would have detrimental consequenses!
A "salinity" of 25 is a "specific gravity" of or around 1.018, depending on temp of course...

people have to learn the difference between salinity and specific gravity.
Specific gravity= 1.025 hydrometer
Salinity=35ppt (parts per trillion) refractometer
