salt accumulation

how do you reduce salt splash/accumulation on tanks? I have 5 tanks and the only one that doesnt have salt EVERYWHERE on the tops is my eclipse. I know keeping the tank as full as it should be to reduce splash from the filter but I get salt accumulation around every corner, down the walls, along the filters. everywhere. what can I do to reduce this...

Along this line, I too would appreciate any words of advice or experience on Ecplise hoods. I have a 15G Eclipse and have recurring problems with accumulation of water on the hood. My concern isn't so much with the resulting salt accumulation in the hood but the water that is making its way slowly down the outside of the tank. This is mainly in two areas of the tank. One on the back near the the power exit hole and the other is on the short side of the tank on the same power service hole. I have ensured the cable loops for lighting, heater etc, are situated to avoid flow on them but I still get water working it's way out on the outside of the tank from the hood area.

did you try adding glass tops. i aslo saw someplace a product that cleans salt of and puts a coating on the surface that stops salt from reacumulating on that surface. the most basic and redneck way would to just slap a sheet of suran wrap on he top lol

I have it all over the filters, tops, bottoms, aroundthe outside of it, It also continues down my walls, and tanks and around the rims of the hood ( not the light fixture itself, although some accumulates on the top of that too,) but around the hood where it connects to the tank. all around. not just in the back.

Are those the filters where the water falls back into the tank, waterfallish style??? If they are then I'm clueless, other than keeping the water surface very close to the filter itself (which I think you mentioned that you already do that, right?).
