Im still adding water to my tank that I started a few days ago and my question is when I mix in the salt it cloud's up the water? I am taking gallons one at a time from my R/O filer and when I get to 4 I pour them in a 5 gal bucket, mix the salt and add it to the tank... But when I pour the bucket in, the water in the bucket is pretty cloudy from the salt. Is this normal or is there a better way I should be doing this?

Normal. I have a 40 gallon I mix my salt in. Throw in the salt turn on the powerhead and it's an instant storm but clears up in about half an hour

the salt has to dissolve so if you are just adding it and throwing it in it still hasnt dissolved all the way yet. Give it some time and circulation.

From what I've learned on this site, Once you have fish in your tank, you want to mix and areate your salt water in a seperate container for at least 24 hours before adding it to your fish population. The reason being that raw salt added to water is irritating to delicate gill tissue.
