Salt collection...

Hello all,...
Is anyone having the same problems as I am. I'm getting salt collection on the outside of my biocube. (see pic) Is this normal? Can I prevent it?

I don't have any on my cube.....do you have the water level too high and the top flow too heavy???

Anywhere you have splash, a leak, too high of water bubbling all cause saltcreep. Those HOB water fall types like the penguin are the worst for saltcreep.
The cure is all the same, find out where the water is bubbling or splashing and make it stop. My Seahorse tank needs an air hose bubbler...and I have salt that even get on the lights. A real pain in the rear, but happy horses.

Flower....I put a flow control on my airline so the bubbles do not break as hard on top of the water.....still good for the horses, and NO mess for me :)...see the one with the turn knob?

I have never seen any like that....Mine was clear with a black knob...it worked at first and by morning it was crazy bubbles again. It was old so I opened a brand new one....it did the same thing so I gave up. They didn't work good on my freshwater tanks either.
Is one brand better than another??? and if so..What do I look for?

LOL..not sure ...mine are green...bought them in a airline kit....comes with the valves, elbows and connectors...I have never had a problem fresh or salt
