salt creep on wall behind tank

How do i get rid of that salt creep on the wall behind my tank?

also, is there any way to prevent this?

Vinegar & water works for me.
If you don't have fish in the tank they won't splash water...

I think its more from evaporation getting on the wall behind my tank than splashing water. (i havnt cleaned it once while my tanks been up).

Evaporated water contains no salt.
