Salt Question

If I mix my own salt in a 5 gal bucket with a power head how long do I have before i need to use it?

im not sure of the exact time but i always wait 24hrs to add to the tank. i figured that that is enough time for the ph to stablize.

I mix my water for 2days then use. It can sit indefinately, as long as it doesn't evaporate or get contaminated with anything.

Why would you keep for wks? As long as it is sealed shouldn't be a problem, make sure your container(s) are food grade and don't leach anything back into the water though.

Should not be a problem as long as containers are safe. Sorry, I do weekly water changes, so I just about always have some on hand or mixing up.
