how about a few opinions on Red Sea Brand salt. Good or bad, if bad make suggestions please!!

I've never used the Red Sea mix...but I've heard that folks use it with success. I've always used Instant Ocean and recently switched to Oceanic. It seems the vast majority of folks use one or the other. Many salt mixs out there though. :thinking:

Used Red sea for the past three years I'm very happy with it. Only complaint is it takes time to disolve.

Basically I've heard good things about the Oceanic mix...dissolves quick...good calcium & alkalinity & magnesium levels...just thought I'd try a bucket and see how it compares to the Instant Ocean. In essence I just wanted to try it.:thinking:

i also used IO for two years and switched to Oceanic 4 months ago and found that i have problems controling mag. it seems the Oceanic is pretty high on mag

I have noticed that my corraline growth has really picked up since I switched from IO to Oceanic. My Ca levels have improved as well.

well my calcium is already 450 so i guess ill just syat with IO
