A little lfs called aqua world. I just went to get more and they didn't have it. They were not sure when or if they would get more. My other local lfs can get it but its about $56 a bucket they are a much smaller store. I will keep you up to date on this becasue I have found this to really help keep my calcium up. I was also told many people mix it half and half with a cheaper sea salt.

I am still trying to get my alk up though. I have added double the alk portion of my 2 part buffer and I'm still at 2-2.5

Hello everyone,
Well I started with oceanic which I found to be good. Then I used instant ocean which I found was just as good as oceanic. I used red sea salt also bu found that it dosent disole as good. I guess thats why its cheaper. Anyways I found a happy medium with instant ocean. As good as oceanic but cheaper.

FWIW...
oceanic, red sea, IO, and reef crystals should all cost nearly the same at your LFS... their wholesale prices are within a few dollars of each other

I have always used Instant Ocean and have never had any problems with it. I currently have a FOWLR setup.
If I were to venture into Reef, I would investigate/test other options.

thats about 100% mark up... seems pretty good for a LFS
a LFS near me charges 99bucks for a bucket of oceanic because it is "special" salt

I am not going to complain here. I am a buisness owner and I know how things work $ wise. And I am happy paying a little extra to them. They are a good family and I know would help me out in a pinch. I'll be honest 100% mark up is not bad when compaired to many other things, in terms of mark up value.
I'll let yall know if that other lfs is still selling the salt under $40 when they get some.

I know this may come as being late in the conversation, but I think a mark-up of $99 on a bucket of Oceanic is ridiculous, and $60 is almost as bad. Around here, it goes for $40 per 200 gallon bucket.
