this may sound dumb but i just set up/ filled my aquarium snd there is still a lot a salt on the bottom, will it desolve in a couple of days or do i need to scoop it out. thanks

What type of salt did you use?
A good quality salt should dissolve in just under an hour, Instant Ocean dissolves in about a half hour or less.
Do you have some good current going in the tank right now? May want to add a powerhead and point it toward the bottom of the tank.

since i posted quite a bit has disolved ( i used instant ocean) that was just a lot more on the bottom than expected.

Good to hear its dissolving well. Had a bad batch once and it was cloudy for a few days, wound up being deadly. If you ever have a cloudy batch that lasts for several hours test it first, before adding it to the aquarium.

Also, if you didnt, which it sounds like you didnt, premix your saltwater out of the tank and then add it to the tank...
