ok so i have a 90 g saltwater tank
the tempature here is starting to rise and since i live with my parents still they dont turn on the aris conditioner till mid june
what can i do to maintain the temp
what is the max tempature fish and corals can tolarate without causeing stress give or take on tempature ?
i have been puting frozen water bottles but it only goes down a short time and then rises
about how much could a chiller be if i were to get one for this 90g?

A chiller will be pretty pricey.......a cheap option is get some small fans blowing across the surface of the water......I have cooled my tank 2-3 degress like this, you will evaporate more water though. What kind of lights do you have? Is it a closed canopy or open top tank?

And the water bottle idea kinda scares me........the temp be stable is prolly more important than the actual temp. It seems like that idea would chill it down super quick and then it would heat right back up super fast. Just a thought.

yeah it kinda did u are right i might just have to go woth a chiller this house gets really hot ... i wont spend no more than 400 on one (college student) if not i dont know what ima do wiith the tank just pay more monthly to keep this house cool ?..hmmmmmmmm thats another option lol

400 is gonna be cutting it close they aren't cheap......but the good news is you can go with a slightly smaller one since your tank isn't getting super hot. 82 isn't a terrible temp but any higher would be pushing it. If you can maintain it there though you shouldn't have any problems. But I promise try the fan idea it works like a charm, and you can put it on a timer with your lights.

my light arent on and the temp is at 82 this room is 10 x 10 i should have put it in the living room
i turn on the light at 6 am to 2 pm then off all afternoon cause of the heat

Make some places for the heat to escape out of the canopy, is the back open? if so put some fans at the front blowing over the water out the back. Should solve the problem.

Your aquarium can be at 83, but the fluctuation is the problem. You don't want your tank going up to 83 during the day and then dropping down to 78 at night. You are going to need to make sure that your temp does not fluctuate by more than 2-4 degrees during the course of a normal day by leaving the heater around 80 if it is going up to 83. I don't let mine fluctuate more than 2 degrees, but I know that other people might be a little more risky with their fish.
What makes me nervous is it is only April right now and it is getting up to 83 then if the house gets hotter then you could be in for problems.

all you do need to do is get two small fans that will fit into the canopy, one in and one out.
The temperature fluctuating is not really a problem, the ocean may have very stable SG and PH levels but the temperature changes all the time in nature. 90 at a prolonged temp may (even experts are not sure) cause a problem. 82 - 86 is not so horrible.
Your creatures are most likely very happy right now. Most hobbyists keep the temps at 76-78 to slow everything down. It gives them time to fix algae blooms and the like, because the warmer temps allow things to grow much quicker.
The fish really like the higher heat, that's why when you have a sick fish it helps to raise the temperature, it eases stress and makes it more the way they like it, helping their immunity system.
I saw a TV program that showed the deep ocean with an underground volcano, the coral was beautiful...It was really HOT, they couldn't get to close while filming.
